Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from SpiceBox Stories. This page explains how to exercise this right and what data will be deleted.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from your profile page:

1. Sign in to your SpiceBox Stories account
2. Go to your profile page
3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
4. Type DELETE to confirm and submit

Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove the following information:

• Your account profile information (name, email, bio, location)
• Your profile picture and avatar
• All published recipes you have created
• All recipe drafts and submissions
• Your favorites, bookmarks, and “I Made It” lists
• All your ratings and reviews
• Your social media connections (Google)

What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for legal or operational reasons:

• Transaction records (if any) for accounting purposes
• Data required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
• Anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked to you
• Backup data that will be deleted within 30 days

Processing Time

We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been successfully deleted.

Third-Party Services

If you signed in using Google, you may also want to revoke access to SpiceBox Stories through your Google Account permissions.
